DTZW Studio regards space as s container of interesting stories. In this project, the designer Li Xibin combines Lanzhou’s unique regional character with local food culture. He naturally integrates the regional culture and newly added designs into the original space, making entire renovation process like naturally growing out of it.

In repeated trials and comparisons, Li Xibin finds that the long table fits perfectly into the shape of space, and the large – scale desktop adds great inclusiveness and possibilities. During meals, some interactions may happen between people around the table. The exchanges at large tables will vividly show local diets and Lanzhou’s culture.
